Site Search Script Recommendation

Post by seodevhead »

Hey guys, I am currently looking at some quality site search scripts (php) on the market and wanted to see if any of you had some opinions on which one I should get. Let me know if you have had experiences with any of these site search scripts and/or heard anything about them. I am not sure which one is the most highly regarded. Thanks!

If your site is laid out with human readable URLs such as /tutorials/php/search.php and /images/camping/tent.gif, then you can use Google to do your searching.
If your content is stored in a MySQL database, you can use the FULLTEXT index to make your own search engine.

If neither of those conditions apply, then I have no advice for you ;)
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
