Officially today, I'm no longer advocating coding to standards. They are obnoxiously elitist, and who cares?
From here on out, as long as it looks good in most browsers, its good enough for me.
This was mostly made possible by switching my main browser to Opera, which never has a problem on any page, ever. I thought I needed a suite of other functionality from the dozen plugins I had in FF, but why be productive?
I'm also switching my development environment to Windows. 80% of the market can't be all bad, despite multiple court rulings, a documented history of predatory behavior, and a consistent pattern of ignoring user complaints.
Its honestly a refreshing change. I'm looking forward to the rest of my programming career with a new and exciting approach to computing.
And to think, it all started on April 1st.
A change of heart
