Trouble accessing DevNetwork Forums

Post by $var »

I have been having some serious problems accessing the site. I'm sure that it is just my ISP, but I haven't been able to get onto this site consistently (i've missed it so much) for a few weeks. This is the second time in that span that i've reached it...

Anyone else finding this? Probably not eh?

symptoms... just nothing...

i desperately try to connect 4-5 times a day, and most days, i get a 'cannot connet to server' message.
for a long time it was fine, then it was gone... and pops back up randomly...

i feel it's my isp... because some other sites are wonky...
i guess i just missed the site a bunch and wanted to say so... s
olidify that it was a lone problem.

I went through a spell where I had trouble getting to Google. First it was my main workstation then another, then every computer in the house. The only thing that fixed it was shutting down everything. All computers, routers and cable modem and restarting them all.

This happened to me several weeks ago. I just connected through a proxy and it was fine.

I know someone else had the same issue a little ago, and the problem simply wen't away..

As mentioned erlier, disable javascript and let us know if that fixes things.

On aside note, from time to time I get time-outs when trying to load the site. I always thought it was a buisy DB. Reloading the page usually fixes the issue.

I had some problems too, early/mid-march. It would half load the page (load some but not all graphics) and I could get into a couple of posts but then nothing, just a 500 error I think, can't actually remember. I had more trouble in firefox than safari but I put that down to having disabled the cache (for testing). Even so I somtimes couldn't get further than the forums home page. It seems to have stopped though and all is fine now.
