I was reading through some questions on Blogger (you know, the blog patform developed/owned by Google) right now and ran across something. When discussing the broswers users use on Blogger
Blogger Help: Blogger Browser Matrix wrote:Usage Breakdown:
  • 71% of our users use IE6/Windows; clearly the majority yet a lower percentage than the web in general.
  • 6% use Mozilla Firefox; an up-and-comer, which we all use internally.
  • 3% use Safari; also widely used internally.
  • 2% use AOL

Actually Pyra developed blogger. Google later bought it. Google had nothing at all to do with the development of blogger.

I didn't really post this for any good reason. Just found it interesting.

Very interesting. I'm surprised at both how many of their developers use it ("We all"), and at how low it is for the general blogger community using their tool - I would have thought it to be about double that.

Makes me wonder what the other 18% is..

The rest are using lynx...;). j/k, maybe it's taken up by aggregators and similar apps outside of the usual browsers.
