Open Format for Audio CDs

Post by Ambush Commander »

I've done some research on the web and it seems to me that *.iso CD images cannot hold multiple tracks, effectively rendering them useless for audio CDs. In the meantime, I'm forced to deal with *.nrg, Nero's proprietary format, which at any moment could be lost forever for me. I like my formats free.

Is there a similar open format for creating images of audio CDs? (by the way, this is not for nefarious reasons: we recently had a concert and the recording was done in-house. I'm attempting to make a copy so that in case the original gets damaged, we can always recover it)

I'm not sure that is correct. You may want to install http://www.isobuster.com/ and have a look. It may be just what you need.
