windows live beta

http://local.live.com/

the imagery is awesome, much better than google maps (provided they can get it working as smooth as google maps), but it seems to overload their servers.

I just now found this, it's probably been out a while

But you can zoom in really close.
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.

Yeah, I've also been trying Windows Live Mail recently - I found it slow and bulky, also I couldn't copy text from emails for some reason - had to use Edit->Copy for the first time in...ages. I think these Live services have a lot of work to go before they start replacing Google's versions...

Being true to the Microsoft way they copied Google maps quite well. The ariel and roadmaps is about the same as google, however I did find the birds eye view of where I live pretty impressive though. And I had no problems with it working.

Yahoo also has something similar, but it would crash a lot on me.

[edit] Played with it a little more and it definitely not as complete as Google Earth.[/edit]

...and it works on Firefox ;). Yes, it's a lot better then Win Live at the moment. I switched over to the beta a while back and it works like a charm.
