It got to 25 degrees here in Leeds, England the other day (dunno what that is in farenheit). Very high for May, we usually only see that a couple of times in the year.
I hate it when it's that hot, not only does the pollen start coming out and ruining my eyes, but every time I get in the car I sweat like mad.

100 F = 38 C
90 F = 32 C
77 F = 25 C
Thats not that hot.
In fact, thats a fairly comfortable day in Florida.

25 is a nice temp for me too...
Especially after a blistering cold winter...like the one we had a few years back
Hot for me...is like...40C maybe even 45...with a humidaty of like 99%
Many people here dont' have Air Con. myself included as were waaaaay below freezing for most of the year...but summers are savage...and those odd days we get heat waves coming from Texas...oh man...look out...
Everything sticks to you...and thats when the notorious Manitoban Mosquitoes come out...their as big as birds
Carry away small children dude...seriously

And I must say, I've never encountered biting midges. Mosquitos both huge and tiny, horse flies (evil creatures that can actually leave gaping wounds), and even gnats and "love bugs" in swarms so thick you can't see through them.Chris Knight wrote:I am only saying this because I care - there's a lot of decaffeinated brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.
But never biting midges. Any links to info about a new insect foe for me to fear?
And taking the topic further off-topic, why have there been so few aliens-that-are-insects movies? Insects to me always trigger a basic revulsion.. would think its a natural fit.
