There may be no greater feeling in life than being accepted:
a) by the woman of your dreams
b) by the university of your choice.
I was accepted at the University of Kansas, stayed drunk for one semester (this was 1959 and we had semesters in those days), was politely asked not to return and joined the Navy.
I was accepted by the woman of my dreams, stayed drunk for about two years and was asked (not at all politely) to leave.
Turned out she was not the woman of my dreams, tho, because after being sober 11 years or so I was accepted by the woman who actually is of my dreams.
Anyway, congratulations on U of M. Great School. I have a close friend who teaches there. Do well and prosper.
