Post by RobertGonzalez »

Our friendly mod-man hawleyjr asked if I could post this image in case anyone wanted to sport a cool Dev Network brilliant button on their site. So here it is...

OT - I have always heard them called Antipixel badges (from the guy who created them), where does the name Brilliant button come from?

Google and learn. They are basically interchangable. Oddly, I hadn't heard of either name for them. I thought they were web-badges, which google tells me has nothing to do with anything remotely related. Oh well, so I think different. :P

I had no idea what they were called. When I googled 80X15 web graphics it turned up all sorts of hits for 'Brilliant Buttons' and 'Brilliant Button Makers' so I used that term ever since. I did not find any mention of Antipixel badges and hadn't heard that term until you posted it. 8O

Seems only right. I'd still be a non-compliant HTML creating waste of man meat if I didn't have this community.

didn't know it had a 'real' name. i just called them website buttons. or 'you know that thing? that thing that is at the bottom of some websites? those buttons. you know....?....?'. that's not specific enough for a serarch in google
