Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how to allow my username and password to be saved for future use in IE6? By this I mean that when someone logs into our site they are first prompted by the run of the mill authentication window asking for username and password. At the bottom of the login it has a checkbox that says "Remember My Password". I have allowed cookies and still nothing. Any ideas?

this is where the IE Windows line becomes very blurry. IE uses Windows to store those passwords and depending on what version of Windows you are using the location is different. without going into to much detail, if you are on a Windows 9x machine and are not logged in (the default profile) then i believe those passwords do not get stored.

you getting hosted by a web company. I had this problem once, it was due to the fact that the IP of the webserver was static and user authentication only works for 1 IP and when getting shared hosting they sometimes change the ip.

That's just my guess though. The other reason is Windows is a poxy piece of smurf operating system and nothing surprises me with it anymore.
