Project Management

Post by jonra »

All,

I'm currently looking for a project management application for me and my coworker to keep better track of project status, tasks, time spent, billing, etc. We have essentially no interface for this, and our department - though only being 2 of us - is getting extremely busy with new projects, so tracking everything is becoming a nightmare.

What does everyone here like to use for this? I'd prefer something web-based, and if it's any good open source would rock - although we can buy something if there's no open-source applications worth a crap. Any suggestions?

37signals looks like they make great applications, but it appears to all be stored on their servers tied to a monthly fee - As this is purely internal information, we wouldn't feel comforatable doing that :(

Dude, thanks for that link. I was actually thinking of building something similar to that (much, much lighter though). But that app is pretty cool.
