adblock, noscript, and doubleclick.net

Post by shiznatix »

I have adblock and no script running and I try to block all of the advertisments that I possibly can. I recently have been having a lot of trouble with doubleclick.net though. I will be at a website, I will have javascript turned off, and I have tried like a thousand times to block doubleclick advertisments by having the filter *doubleclick* but still to no avail. why can't I block ads from doubleclick?

For my blocking, I don't use wildcards (*), I just use the domains themselves. I think it does a wildcard match already, because I don't have that issue.

However, more broadly, I use the filterset.G adblock extension that gives me regularly updated lists of blocks.

Hope that helps.
