[Devnetork] Getting lots of 403 errors

Post by houston »

Is anyone else getting lots of 403 Forbidden errors while browsing the Devnetwork forums? I get one about 1 out of every 3 pages I load, and if I refresh a couple times it goes away.

I hope im not missing a giant sticky on this subject. I searched for 404 but that brought up a bunch of topics from the tech help forums.

404 is page not found, not forbidden. Are you behind a proxy?

Anybody else getting this? If it's just yourself I doubt it's our server :?

403 errors usually do come from the server though. Hmmm...

I too am curious if its just me or if others are experiencing it

I noticed it on both my work and home machines, but that doesnt mean its not something I'm doing

Other than my proxy server being stupid and shuffling IP's, and the server maintenance that happens at midnight PST, I have never experienced an error of any kind on this site.

I have been experiencing such errors. Then I find out that "disable cache" option was checked and that was causing my 403's 'Forbbiden' errors.

i just unchecked it. I assume you're talking about the disable cache option in the web developers tool firefox extension

That is correct. I'm sorry I wasn't specific enough. Did that work out for you?
