Customers are always right (!?!)

Post by Luke »

Man, does anybody else ever have customers with ABSOLUTELY no taste or common sense? I hate when I build like a BEAUTIFUL site or admin panel or whatever for somebody and they nitpick it until its ugly and makes no sense... Of course I always try to explain my reasoning for building things the way I do to customers, but some of them are just too thick-headed to even understand me or care. Man it irritates me... but like the stupid saying goes... the customer is always right (only because they are paying $$ ).

That's everyone that I deal with ^^

If they know so much better, then why the hell didn't they learn how to do the job?

Some people are REALLY ignorant. It bugs me, but at the same time it is halarious how people think "Well, I think I will pay somebody for their expertise, but then not use it" haha what is that about?? Oh well... ultimately I don't care as long as they pay.

I learned not to care because in the end it means more hours == more money. Their fault for not explaining it to the best of their ability IMO.

I've decided not to work for such customers anymore... If they don't have objective reasons to dislike something, it's pretty clear to me they don't want my services... (Probably the only reason i can afford me to work like this is because of the fact that i don't do this programming for a living... I don't want to become 40 years old and start wondering why i devoted all my time in people that didn't care about my opinion anyway...)
