At embedded.com is a story dating back to July concerning sequence points and
things like undefined behaviour. Much of what's spoken of here doesn't apply directly to PHP in one sense, but the logic is consistent regardless of language. Two things that can be gained from this are a greater appreciation of differences between pre and post incrementing / decrementing and order of operations (including within function arguments).

If you're really serious about the ramifactions of each written expression in your code, you'll appreciate the insight.
