Cool. Is it noisy living near a space shuttle flightpath?

It's a US shuttle, it flies into space way way up and can be seen from far far away...:)

First shuttle launch in July 4th. Way to go.

Far from near. I'm about 120 mile away (By the way of the crow) and I'd imagine it was about 20 - 30 miles up by the time I saw it :)

The house I'm living in is about an hour away from the Cape, however despite the clear weather they had we had nothing but thunderstorms and big clouds. So I settled for watching it on TV.

I'm amazed at the clarity of the picture they had on the giant fuel tank. Though it's been around, yesterdays coverage was amazing on Fox News Channel.

On a related note, I'm glad to see it fared a little better than the North Korean effort on the same day :)

Their first test of the Taepodong-2 ICBM failed after 40 seconds.
