Hello

I want a network designing software that would at first take inputs from the user and once it has gathered the information it would give as output a Network design based on provided inputs in a form of diagram or report.

Output might be like, I would generate whole network design diagram automatically or
summary of how things would work for example it would tell the user that these many switches would be required, these many routers would be used, what type of cabling should be used and etc.

any one know this kind software, I want to use it on Windows Platform

Regards

Nothing that I know of but if someone writes it I imagine plenty of network managers might not be too happy :P People are paid vast amounts of money for this sort of work ;)

... i never thought i'd be suggesting a Micro$oft Product...

Micro$oft Visio can create networking flowcharts.... it's an easy way to crap out a good looking diagram.. it can't however tell you anything that you don't tell it to output

visio does flowcharts automatically too? i thought you had to do everything by hand...

also, MS products outside of windows are actuallyr eally good if a little buggy. super fully featured. moreso than other applications. VisualStudio.Net is perhaps the premiere IDE. it's my fav program and i wish it did PHP. nothing else compares to it. there are others too. no need to get into it.
