Hey guys... I need to start using some free proxies that I find on these "free proxy lists" and was wondering if there are any security threats involved with using these free proxies? I just don't want anyone sniffing my passwords, stealing my sessions, or worse... giving me spyware, trojans and viruses. Is any of this stuff a threat by using these free proxies? Thanks for your advice!

Pretty much everything you listed there could be done. The owner of the proxy can sniff what they like from your page requests and additionally can send back anything they like (within the realms of HTTP).
There are quite a few proxies that are owned and operated by the government (US). They are a honeypot of sorts. There are others owned by *spam* police.
Yes, he is. And for the life of me I cannot freaking think of a single movie he has been in. I know there was a movie (a comedy I think) where he played a military supervisor of some sort. It may have been 'Spies LIke Us', but I am not sure.
