Examples of United States rollover maps

Post by JAB Creations »

I am looking for examples of United States rollover maps. Only thing I don't care for are Flash examples.

Thanks!

think he wants something more like a map of the us, that he can mouseover and have states highlight as he goes I do. If so, use an image map he could.

Kinda sorta the Harley Davidson site...actually pretty cool now that I think of it as smaller states and non-rectangular states would be a female dog to get working. I just dont want to reinvite the Great Chinese Wall you know? Anyone have the mouse over the states themselves?

If you want to mouseover the state on the map and have it highlight you are going to have to be REALLY inventive.

Otherwise you can steal what I have:

Even with an image map, you are still mapping square areas, aren't you?

Kinda, sorta, but the coords aren't too great and no rollover effect. Kinda close though!

You could put a rollover on that no problem!

download csshover2.htc and :hover those area selectors.

Although, I can't find any CSS on that page. Unless I missed a link tag?

no... you can use a polygonal or even a oval map. Dreamweaver is good for drawing image maps.
