And the significance of the pic is that it's not only ridiculous, but got passed the moderator for my official
ZCE mugg shot
That and I'm determined to have that photo on the cover of one of those
WROX books that have the black and white photos with the red bottom and yellow lettering. Already photoshoped one up, now I just gotta write the book.

because I don't think I've ever met an old fart that programs (although I know they are out there).
63, but not entirely sure that that's old or a fart

I feel so disrespetful calling an elder a geek

. 63... wow. I hope I still sharp enough to code when I am 63.

Yeah, I doubt the sharpness or whit is what goes as we age, most of the elders I look up to are right where I've always known them to be. Now short-term memory and eyesight are common things to fall by the wayside which makes me admire Bill for taking on a newish language, or starting from scratch depending on what direction Bill came from. Many of the older programmers I know are stuck programming in what they'd always programmed in, that's what I wouldn't look forward to...

No offense taken, Everah.
..taking on a newish language, or starting from scratch..
Taking on new. I started in COBOL/FORTRAN when they were frontline, switched to C in 1981 (the same year the first non-mainframe compiler was released), then C++ and Visual C++, and then PHP.
