I think he's saying he either lost his girlfriend, or doesn't have time to stroke the monkey any more because he codes so much, and this is causing him to have a nervous breakdown.

I always thought I was quite normal and am not trying to win any such award!

I was looking at these:

Most likely to reply with RTFM and STFW Award
THE GRAND FOOBAR Award (i dont know what this is but foobar is cool)
The Fastest Advancing Newcomer Award
Most Likely To Cause Eureka! Moment Award (does it count if i cause myself to say eureka?)

hehe ^^

Yeah... Randomness is nice, but that was a little strange.

I think it can be called the developers nightmare... The evil regex monster is coming to chop up my database strings. The str_ function come to fight them off. Yadda yadda, I wake up feeling really wierd and ask my wife to help me feel like a man again...

Dunno if this sounds crazy or not but I have designed code flow patterns and debugged code I have already written in my sleep before.

I quite often dream solutions to problems from the day before - I call it my "Overnight Batch Job". This morning I woke up at 04.00, and went straight to my computer to write what I'd "thought" about in my sleep. I got in 4 hours of coding before going to work!! :?

Maybe it was the linguica sandwich you ate at 11:30 last night. But really, when you are working hard on something, especially something that is giving you trouble, you run the risk of getting wrapped up in it to the point of no sleep.

2 beers.
Take it from an old (reformed) drunk, never say that. Every cop in the world knows that "I just had 2 beers" means that you are drunk out of your gourd. Say you had one beer, say you had three beers, never ever say you had two beers.
