well i have determined that just because you can work 76 hours a week does not mean you should. as a result telling my boss he HAS to hire someone tinght (got someone picked out) and that I will trained tehmf or five days then i'm gone.put in my notice over a month ago..been waiting for them to hire someone...hired and fired two people...

I work about 45 hours a week at my current job, then about 20 to 30 hours per week on coding for clients.
If you are waiting for your boss to hire someon before you quit, I'd ask for more money or just uphold your resignation letter. Unless you and the boss are really tight. It just seems unreasonable that he would have you do that much when he could feaibly hire someone to help you.

I had nothing else to do.The Ninja Space Goat wrote:feyd that's insane. Why??
It was a young company and they needed to crank the next five or so versions of their platform out quickly and cleanly. It was in California and I was paid hourly, so I was happy to do it. Less than eight hours, normal pay. Less than twelve hours, time and a half pay. Beyond that, it's double pay.

Since we are all seeing who has the biggest lack of life here....
I love working. I will regularly work till 2 am in the morning and sleep between 4-6 hours. If I could I would never sleep, but then my body doesn't operate so well with less then 4 hours of sleep. What I don't like is a company that requires you to work overtime though. I want to do it as a choice and not by force.
