Too much to know

Post by Benjamin »

I've been jumping around chapters in all these books I bought. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. It's going to take years to master everything. :(

With that realization, you are ready to learn. Well done grasshopper. .. and welcome to old age.

Now it's time for my nap. Image

Hi astions,

think about it this way:
you already know more than people that are just starting in this field ;)

Optimissim..... what a wonderful thing it is.

But on a second thought.... always thinking "I have still not learned anything" and keep on learning, will lead you Waaaay past your competitors (whoemever they might be)

feel the same way: just picked up "High Performance MySQL" by Jeremy D. Zawodny & Derek J. Balling and PHP 5 Objects, Patterns, and Practice by Matt Zandstra (just finished the latter actually) and it only made me realize I haven't even started 8O

A wise man once told me.. women + adam's apples = suspicious.

He also showed me an old proverb in the newspaper he was reading.. "Once he realises there is no way a single man can master everything, he has taken his first step to becoming a master." or something along those lines, I was too busy inspecting my girlfriends throat..

But does she wear mashed potatoes on her head like Ninja?

Anyhow, I came to the realization long ago that I know absolutely squat about everything I think I know everything about. Knowing that, everything became clear to me as now I clearly know nothing.

I be a lot better off had my parents bought me a computer when I was 12. I didn't get my first PC until I was 22.

Got my first PC in 2nd grade... started w/html and javascript freshman year... so I was 14 or 15. I gave it a good long break from about sophomore year to last year though (dabbled here and there though). Came back at it full time about a year ago (hence my join date)

I know, but canned foam only makes me laugh when you put that little evil mad man next to it. All the other ones make me laugh just reading them.

Is this Ninja --> Image

Getting my first computer at five may have helped me. But what drove me to computers more has likely more to do with moving every one to two years from the time I was born to .. well present, pretty much. .. But I don't want to turn this into a therapy session, so I'll shut up.Image

Jenk,

Your gf has an Adam's apple. I thought that British women were coming only with furry legs? I wasn't aware of Adam's apple
