Forum on my Web Site

Post by Naldo »

Ok first post guys, hopefully someone can help!

Right my game clan is useing a forum useing PHP.

And I have been asked to try and make a web site for them.
To be honest I aint got a clue so, i've purchased software to
do most of it for me, its called web easy proffesional 6!
Its just a simple drag and drop!

My question is ive looked around at other peoples pages and have noticed that on there main
page they have a box that has say the last 7/8 post on there forum. Then u can click on it and it
takes u there!

So is it possible to have the php forum on my none php web site?
I aint got a clue about programing  Thanks for your time.

Yes, it is pretty easy. But we need to know some things first. Which forum are you using? What is the database you are using? What set up are you using to make this 'portal' page? Please post back with as much information as you can.

OK not quiet sure what u need but it says phpbb at the bottom of the forum.

And the version is " You are running phpBB 2.0.19."

The database thing not sure, If u could tell me where to find it i will get it.

Set up! If i can get this working then i will re-do the whole page again.

Sorry m8 Like I said I am complete novice

On the web easy software I cant see a way of putting the code stuff into it,
As it says that the program will automatically convert everything I place
onto the page into HTML or something????

Sorry m8.

Go to http://smartor.is-root.com and visit this page to download ezPortal plugin for phpBB. You won't need to know anything else. Just unpack it, read the docs, upload portal.php and the accompanying files to where the docs tell you, and you should be golden... much like our portal page here --> portal.php.
