That's halarious. Being addicted to WoW is not a big deal in my opinion. It's your own problem if you aren't getting laid.

With a large amount of school impending, I don't think I'll be able to really find enough time to play honestly. Not that I'm all that bummed about it. I have plenty of other distractions to, uh, distract me.

Again, you're just proving my point.
Being a programmer and having 1800 posts in a programming forum isn't a big deal in my opinion. It's your own problem if you're not getting laid.
But yes, I read between the lines and hear you loud and clear. You're getting some ass. Congratulations, you are now a man. We all believe you, we really really do.

There's a little bit of a difference there... because I get paid to sit here and program. Not that it really matters, I just think this whole discussion is very humorous.

Bachelors in Computer Engineering right now, but that'll likely split into a Bachelors in Electrical Engineer and a Bachelors in Computer Science later on.

Doesn't matter whether or not you're getting paid. I didn't say programming was less constructive than video games. My point is that you cannot cast off a stereotype typically associated with programmers and then project that stereotype against a different group of people. Not only is it hypocrital, it's igorant.

stereotypes... generally... are right. Sorry.

well what i understand from the whole degree thing is you can prolly get your BA in Computer Science and get a Certificate in the other 2.....from what i discussed with my professors its like the same thing....id definately ask my guidence counsoler about it if i were you...because why settle for 1 if you can get all 3 at the same time...you know

I'm going for all three at the same time. 75-85% of the classes are the same (or can be worked that way) between the two separately. But I'm going after the full degrees, not certs.

Yes, so we should enforce them when possible, especially to cast others down and boost our self-esteem, all while putting our insecurities on display. Bonus points if done on an internet forum where there are no consequences for running your mouth.

Ignoring if they are wrong or right, it is still arrogant to post such statements about them.
Besides.. the sterotype programmer doesn't lead such a prolific life..
