I love gaming - am I odd on this forum? ;) I don't play MMORPGs though - I think the genre still has some way to go before they can keep my attention. I think like most media, once its accessible for more than a few years it starts to lose it edge. There haven't been many innovative titles and most can be counted on one hand - Half Life, Fahrenheit, Total War and GTA. There's a new Sam and Max title being developed so maybe there'll soon be a fifth I can add. I think there's more than a few folk who miss the old school style games - I still have my Sega Genesis, Atari and Commodore 64 (the one with tape cassettes!).

You know the PS3 boomarang was only a prototye. They're going with a modified PS2 controler...No Shake but basic motion sensitivity.

Unfortunately the gameplay hasn't moved as much - there are very good titles, gems you might say, but they are few and far between.
I would personally say thait gameplay has got far, far worse.

I miss Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on Genesis  that series turned ugly when they took it to CD... similar for Tekken which attained its peak at version 3. After that it lost its original character... :(
