Make a new folder wherever on your machine , right click it and select svn checkout. Paste the url and you are off.

paste the url where? I tried just about every combination of copy and paste in the different input boxes, and NOTHING works. Could somebody maybe try and explain it a little better? I tried reading the docs and such, but gave up with frustration

In URL Of repository?
eg. Goto My Documents, create a folder called svn. Right click that folder and goto SVN Checkout, and paste that svn URL in "Url Of Repository" and hit ok.
