What kind of CRAP are they teaching our kids these days?

Post by Luke »

My little brother just asked me for help with his homework... the assignment is to create a logo that incorperates the following ideas:

individual
group
core
class

What kind of crap is that? That is way too diverse of a list to incorperate into one logo. What's worse is the teacher used examples like Nike, Snickers, and Ritz Crackers. All of those logos are very simple and all seem to have a common theme "fun". What a stupid project! I would have quite liked the project had the teacher done it better.

I think it is just core... as in the inner-most part of something

Oooh, hot magma nuget. Where the heck do you find these things? That is so insanely quick.

Like my knack for remembering posts of long past and store customers from weeks before, I also remember logos.

And the answer to "is there anything you don't remember" is yes.. there was this time a few years ago that's vague. Something about peanut butter, coconut oil, and.... Image

Imagine an individual at the center of a group and that the group was a class of students. The image Feyd posted demonstrates a single persona in union with a group of persona, almost as if the individual was still an individual while at the same time being part of a group. The only thing missing is the core of that circle.

Actually, thinking about it.. the hot magma nuget isn't needed. It's got it already (as negative space.)

It just needs a personal flare.

Well, Ninja, there's the person raising their hand -- individual and class; then there are two other figures -- group; and finally they are in a circle creating a core.

This reminds of a memory I had once involving a popcicle stick, vasoline and a penguin...

@Ninja: Throw something into the whitespace center of that logo and you hit everything in the list that is needed by your brother. I am not saying use the logo, but the style and content is similar to what I would do.
