If you have ever gotten your wisdom teeth removed, what did you eat for the first few days and how did you manage to eat it?

Cream of wheat and soup. Small bites, lots of water and motrin.

Whatever I wanted and carefully. Generally softer things, with a lot of mouth wash immediately after. Basically the same diet people should do after getting their tongue pierced.

Had the tongue peirced, but never my wisdom teeth pulled...although I think I need yanked...it's not compacted, but misaligned so my bite is off a bit...every 6 months or so...I bite something I shouldn't...

my wisdom teeth all grew in fine. Seems like there is enough room... don't bite anything. I guess I got lucky.

I got lucky too, even though one of my wisdom teeth is literally perpendicular to the angle it should be pointing, it's not catching on anything.

*phew*

Never had any wisdom teeth. Dentist says there's room for them, so even if they came in they would not be a problem, but there aren't any. Not even the roots.

No wisdom either, probably. :?

Mine came through when I was 17, and I've never had any problems with them. In fact, my teeth are pretty good in general - never even had a filling.

I've got all 4 of mine right through and I actually would like to have them out at some point since my grandad got his out when he was old and it was a hospital/operation job because the roots had wrapped around his jaw. Ouch!

I wouldn't have gotten mine removed, but my mouth is a little small and I was never able to clean my wisdom well enough. Two of the four ended up rotting to point they broke in half. I had no choice. I had to get them out.

Thank God for dental insurance. What should have cost me $2000 only cost be $200. I think that hurt more than the procedure did. :?

Finding an NHS funded dentist with spaces these days is a nightmare though... I just pay for private in the hope that I only have to go every 6 months with the occassional scale & polish.
