Displaying other sites content...

Post by icelord »

Hi all.

I am just wondering if any of you know any news website that does not mind people grabbing content from them and displaying them on their site.
The site I am currently developing has to have world and sports news.

So before I go emailing (read: bothering) other websites and asking them what their policies are, if any of you good people knows sites that will give permission, it would save me a lot of e-mail typing :)
Maybe if someone has had experience with it and could pass on some knowledge.

p.s. I am not talking about slashdot or any open source sites.
I am talking about sites like yahoo.com, cnn.com, bbc.com, reuters, etc.

Thanks for reading my ramblings

Ice.

many sites offer RSS feeds (also known as RDF and XML) of their news items. look around for something like that. if they offer it then you can use it with no problem.
