I get these emails sent to the email address I use to send out automatic emails alllllllllllllll the time (like 10 a day). Who sends these, and why would they want to? (of course the attachment contains a virus).

Of course I don't send out any kind of email like that. I actually find it kind of funny that someone wants to spoof an email from my site. :lol:

Dude I get around 10-20 spam/virus emails a day from my domain names. Not spoofing proper emails like yours, but just from random@mydomains.co.uk.

Absolutely no idea. Probably the same point as there is for spreading viruses in the first place.

Most virus incarnations send a singal back to 'home base' usually in the form of a simple ping packet or something equally as innocuos so the creator can inflate his e-peen.
