If I don't know what my video card is... how to I get drivers for it?

I've never seen bios or the post report on the video card. Sometimes, just prior to the post/bios part of boot up (usually, the video card is the very first thing on the screen [also usually shows when the monitor hasn't quite turned on from standby yet])
There's lots of programs out there that will attempt to give you a list of hardware, the only one that comes to mind is SiSoft Sandra... I've never used it to determine who a card belongs to, as i've always had the drivers installed.
If you do get the nerve to open the boss's computer, take the gfx card out and either it'll be clearly marked, or (as murphy's law dictates) it will be pretty much blank. Look for the fcc id, from which you can search the fcc db for the manufacturer (and hopefully the model, but not always).

Get a copy of UnknownDevices and give it a try. There're great chances it will tell what videocard you have. It's free, tiny (~400K) and requires no installation.

Ok....I work at a computer hardware store and we always run into clients needing wipe/reloads and we don't have their drivers. So if I have to recommend any place I would have to say: http://www.driveragent.com
It has over 900,000 drivers...it scans your computer and has link for the drivers that need updating. It has a mirror right there on the page, meaning no more looking.
