Well, I guess I can start rebuilding the project. It should go a bit faster now that I know what I want to do and how I did it.
It's just going to be boring.
Surely though, that data has to mean something. It's the exact same filesize as the file I lost.
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.

Did it not look like that before?scottayy wrote:My file looks like this....
Code: Select all

j/k
I'm no expert myself but I guess beyond saying it doesn't look promising the only way to find out would be to pay a data recovery group to have a go at getting the file for you.
if you didn't write anything to your external hd ,I think the chance is large.
And you can browse http://www.easeus.com to download the demo vesion of Data Recovery Wizard. It is a easy and useful tool. If you can find the data with the help of the demo version, you could succeed using the full version.

I think your data got corrupted. But are you sure that whole lot of your code are in this form. No data recovery software is going to help you in recovering your data if it is corrupted. I would recommend that once you try this utility Stellar Phoenix FAT & NTFS - Data Recovery Software It has worked for me remarkably well recovering almost 98% of my data.Code:
1Q?2tÅÿs~ѺÖuˆüžcœ~ΧôÏ÷†{ʯ½ž+ž¸2ìCÑæ›k>7}s¯ö™»½E 5w†tÁ
Download the demo version from here http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm
Its free. If you are able to see your data or code through the demo version then its 100% gauranted that your data will be recovered from full verson.
Its better to try than to curse one's mistake.
Best of Luck
