Conver to FLV

Does anyone know if its posible to convert video (mpeg) to flv format, in php?

I've been researching this, too. Good articles. However this leads me to a question. Flash video files require less bandwidth then say MPG, or ASF.. right?

I mean that would probably be the only reason sites like PhotoBucket convert videos to flv?

I wouldn't say that. IMO, main reason all these sites are pushing flv is due to the Flash Player penetration.

there is another serious one but i can't find it. there are a few of them. i personally love FLV's because they are tiny fter compression i've gotten a 65MB Video to KB in size and i just about made a dookie in my pants

this is serious <span style='color:blue' title='I&#39;m naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> so you'll have to pay lots but this will definatly be the second best (if you aren't using flash directly that is)

By penetration, do you mean that it's viewable inside of the browser and doesn't require an external media player?

penetration: percentage of installations versus competing products or some other scale.
