ABOUT COMPAQ EVO

Post by vikz99 »

hey guyz,
well i have a Compaw EVO D51C, I went on the compaq/HP site to try to download the motherboard manual and they did not have anything. SO i tried calling them, and they said that my tower is out of warranty and if i wanted to ask them questions i would have to pay them 39.99$ US because i did not have warranty left on it. So before hanging up the lady told me to look at their site for manuals and she forwarded the same site that i was looking into. So i dont know if anyone knows where to get a manual for my motherboard or not. But on the motherboard it does not say anything. However on one chip it says this:

SMSC LPC47B367-NC
B0301-C93910
8H113845C

I was wondering if someone can help me on this issue and if anyone knows where i can download the mother manual from? Thanks

I couldn't either, perhaps you could find someone who does have the manual. You could ask them to scan and e-mail you a copy.

Other than that I suppose you will just have to cop the $40 that they want for it.

What are you trying to do with this motherboard?

vikz99, what are you trying to do? maybe we could still do it without the manual.

Exactly what I was wondering, motherboard manual's are basicly worthless so im sure it costs $40 because its the only one they ever printed off.

I would suggest you go to http://discussions.virtualdr.com/

If they can't direct you to a manual they can probably help you with whatever you need to do.
