that's a gross generalization (though probably true in most cases 8O ). But there are those of us who know and appreciate 'real' beer. My beer of choice was always either a nice pale ale, or black and tan with a robust chocolate stout, and a bitter ale...just depended on my mood and how much I'd eaten that day :P

Starbucks is terrible. I don't get it... their coffee tastes like crap... There's a coffee shop a block away from my work that sells a small coffee for $1. That $1 coffee tastes 100 times better than Starbucks $1.70 coffee that is half the size and tastes like monkey fecies.

No fast food. I have been so junked out lately that the sound of these restaraunts make me want to... go to sleep. But seriously, is there a quiznos near you? That might work for lunch tomorrow. What about Ohana Hawaiian BBQ? Or a local roach coach?

Illy's coffee is far better. They tend to be nice small coffee shops too. There's a nice little one in Didsbury where I used to live.

Living above food-serving places can be quite cool depending upon location. My parents lived above a chinese takeout when they were young and skint. The shop used to give them free food at the end of the night.

The only thing I wonder about... is it's in the same building as this old Theatre that has been turned into a music venue. They have music there almost every night... I wonder how loud it would be.
