Who cares? That's like a free concert every night ...
BTW, I am really getting into Seattle's Best coffee. Starbucks smells like a skunks butt if you ask me, but I drink it because there are no other coffee shops around and they are almost every street corner.

Which is cool when it's artists like Deftones (coming Nov. 4th

) but MOST of the shows there suck...

Headphones and an iPod for suck shows. For the rest, turn the computer off and kick back in the living room for your free concert (and maybe invite the girlfriend over for a night of musical romance, eh?).

What would be really cool is if there was a secret passage to backstage in the back of the closet or something...

You know what; I really enjoy listening to small bands nobody's ever heard of at small events. Hmm... actually I just like going out generally

Luckily I'm friends with all the big DJs on the breakbeat scene in Manchester so I tend to find out about all the good things that are happening ages in advance (including illegally organised, but very dignified outdoor parties! yay!).
There's a carribbean bar called "Dr. Livvy's" in Manchester. Every friday night they have a collective and I can tell you there are a heck of a lot of great artists out there compared to half the crap we get pumped in our ears as a result of clever marketing. I'd like to plug that event at Dr Livvy's on Friday for anybody who ever visits or lives in Manchester. It's a cool venue with cool music. If you like funk (think two cool dark skinned dudes rapping/singing, a pretty white chick singing, a couple of drummers and two on the decks doing a little scratching all together and sounding great) you have to check it out.
Oh yeah... I'm off to a fancy dress party tomorrow... gonna be awesome. Just put my outfit on tonight; I'll put some pics online tomorrow

I am pretty open to all sorts of music usually, but at least 50% of the musicians who play there are crappy rappers.
