Actually, it's flash to blame.. Flash on Linux is no where near what it is on Windows. Google Video, for an example of ill working Linux Flash. However telling people to upgrade IE is silly..d11wtq wrote:Same here. FF 1.5/Linux. Grey screen; dead -- took ages for that to load too.arborint wrote:It does not appear to work with Linux/Firefox. Unless it is supposed to be a solid gray screen.
I'm sorry to say that I have a strong dislike for Flash sites (personal preference). I'd rather have a functional layout that can be accessed in all browsers (including Lynx). It bugs me when developers ingore the fact that not everybody uses IE in Windows. The thing that bugs me most is when I go to a site under linux and I just get a page saying "Please upgrade to the latest version of internet explorer to use our site".
awsome site

omg are you people on dailup?
it loads in under 30 seconds here.
In forums I see alot of people doging on flash sites, noone seems to take note of the effort that goes into creating such sites, seems its more moaning about load times bla bla.
Im not a fan of flash sites but in general I think its pretty well done and wicked graphical work!
Good Job

That effort should be met by a good experience for all users. Having to wait an extreme amount of time for each page is outrageous.bob_the _builder wrote:omg are you people on dailup?

I disagree. In the end it's up to the user. The creator only creates websites of a certain calibre so that it is suitable for the target audience.Obadiah wrote:i can kinda agree with the wait in load times for some flash sites....there are alot of flash sites out there(maybe not as great as that one) but others that have smaller load times....its a toss up i guess between eye candy and usability....in the end its up to the creator

Kinda like watching Picasso paint. In the end it will be an awesome view, but the time it takes to get there makes you want to leave for a sandwich.feyd wrote:That effort should be met by a good experience for all users.
