CNN Pipeline Player and IE7

This weekend I received the following email from CNN. Basically their pipeline player will not work with IE7. So here is my poll. Is this Microsoft’s fault for modifying their new browser so much that some applications need complete facelifts? or is it's CNN's fault for not testing their player on ie7 beta versions?
Dear JAMES,

As you may know, a new version of Internet Explorer has been released. Currently, the CNN Pipeline Web Player is not compatible with IE7. We are working hard to release an IE7-supported version of the web player in the coming days, and will notify you when it is available.

In addition, while the CNN Pipeline downloadable player is compatible with IE7, there are instances where it may not launch according to the preferences you have chosen. If you are experiencing any problems with the CNN Pipeline downloadable player due to an upgrade to IE7, please visit http://www.CNN.com/help/pipeline/IE7 for potential solutions.

Thank You,
The CNN Pipeline Team
PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC...

I've voted M$ as they're easy to blame.

I agree with Burr, if a company is relying on another to companies product they need to be on top of all upgrades.

They, like all of us, have had more than enough time to test on the new platform. One unfortunate challenge faced by smaller development organizations (like Jo Shmoe Web Development or Everah Media Services Company) is that installing IE7 meant not having IE6 (unless you wanted to install/uninstall/reinstall/repeat). For large companies, it would be easier to take a retired machine and load it as a development machine for this type of thing. However, I personally did not want a new browser on my one machine that was incompatible with most of my current apss and settings, so I elected to stay with IE6. But if I had even a second machine then I would have certainly given it a go as a dev machine. Which I would suspect CNN had the opportunity to do for quite a while.

This is just my $0.02.
