I'm good with php procedurally... but I would be a weak link probably in that category. However I border on 'expert' for CSS... so if you need that... lemme know. Would be fun.

I'll join either the devnet or the phpdn team, but not both

Yea I was thinking that same thing daedalus... those guys are pretty lame. Should we start a roster for who wants to be a part of it?

You only have 24 hours to code your app. You may have an idea of how you want the app to work and a basic db structure worked out on paper, but no coding will have been done before the start of the competition
Ehmmm...kinda hard to keep track of no? Sure they're providing the SVN hosting and could possibly use timestamps to determine updating frequency...but

I briefly read the rules, but their still pretty vague...

To make this work legit they'd have to assign unique individual apps to each team at the time of project start - which is what I think their trying to do...

I think they're trying to count on a little bit of decency in competitors... what would be the point of cheating?

Can we sticky this? The contest is next Saturday; we need to get one or two teams together. If we have a team what (are|is) (?:the) name(?:s) of (them|it)? I have my internet back and want to get this contest beat. I want that website icon!! I don't care about the other prizes; unless their books.

I'm being serious I'm willing to donate 12 hours of my life (oh yeah, and time) to our team next saturday. I want to win this thing; LETS DO IT!!! But I still need the OFFICAL name of our team.

I nominate ether PHPDN or DevNet.

If you are going to use our name in the team name, I'd suggest using the PHPDN Forum Crew. Or at the very least, something with PHPDN in it.
