Definitely about friggin' time! Glad they got that one fixed since I use little PNGs with alpha (24) transparency quite a lot and have resorted to using a function to generate them with conditional comments to apply the CSS filters MS provide.

How long do you think it'll be before IE7 is widely adopted across enterprises and home PCs?

Considering it was placed into the high priority update (Windows/Microsoft Update) bin recently... it could hit major numbers pretty quick. I'm not sure of the percentage of users who have automatic updates on however.

It just seems like with anything new, you want to give it a chance to break someone else's system before deploying it on yours. My company is think that it could full bore with this is as little as one month. I've heard others say not for another year.

I was just about to start a new topic saying that IE7 was a critical update too. Just wait till next Halloween; I'll have a bag of poo waiting for you.
