My old roommate is this little tiny thing... but she's GORGEOUS. She's also one of the most caring and thoughtful girlfriends I've ever seen and yet she dates nothing but losers, jerks, and drug-addicts. I see that more often than girls who like nice guys. I've never gotten any being a nice guy. EVER. I've kept girlfriends by being a nice guy, but I've never once got them that way. If you're nice, you fall into the "friend zone" which is basically relationship no-mans-land.

i get alot of girls that like me but i'm never interested. i'm an ass when it comes to girls because i never care. then they flock to me like moths to a lightbulb. there are the few that i actually like and then i can't talk to them confidently because i do like that. that sucks

Huh? You kidnapped her?

Explain! :D
we met a while back. we met when i had a month to move to florida for school. been down herefor 3 years. we've talked online, phone and she's come down to see me. i've gone up to see her. we'd be a couple minus the fact taht i'm stubborn about not having a long distance relationship.

i had a gf for about a year and then broke up. recently started talking again like crazy (since ~april) and we'll be dating when i go back up to a decent state. MA. totally rules.

i can't wait to see her and she's gonna have one or two of my babies. i want to name one Capcom and the other Worldwide Genocide. i doubt she'll allow it. but still

Happened to me many a time. Be nice to a girl, get to know her a few weeks, tell her how you feel, get the "but I see you a a really ace mate" response. God dammit.... is this the thread to vent sexual frustration? :P

It would turn into a mega-thread. Maybe a book even...

I'm an smurf but nobody likes me. I think it is this state, you just can't win here. When I was on vacation I met a lot of pretty girls.

Maybe being a jerk IS a good thing?

I treated my girlfriend (posted in this thread) to an awesome weekend (she actually THANKED me the day after because it was so nice), and all of a sudden our relationship is super shaky, to the point where I think it may end this weekend.

I just don't get girls.

Far be it from me to assume I'm an expert, but I don't think it makes sense to refer to 'girls'. We all know the differing tastes we have for women, women themselves can't be that different.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.

And there is a strong likelihood that you never will (nor will any of us).

Can we open a new forum called "Uncle Pickle" much like an agony aunt section for geeks :)

I completely agree with that.

I sometimes think about what women do in their spare time, but I can't figure it out. Most of my spare time is spent on the computer or at the gym, but normal women don't do either. What else is there? Watch TV; on their own? Eat? Sleep? I can't even imagine them using a toilet...

Shopping, shopping, shopping, shopping, and gossiping.

EDIT: oh and we should probably say "most women" not "normal women". Could offend somebody.

I just said 'girls' to imply a certain maturity.

So she's still acting weird.. yay. :?

We'll see how it plays out tomorrow when I go to visit her.
