Pancakes

Post by Luke »

I love pancakes. I just ate two giant buttery, syrupy, delicious, buttermilk pancakes and I am happy as a clam. Discuss.

I used to work at an IHOP, so whenever I smell a pancake, I throw up just a little bit... they are buttery and delicious though

Ninja, are you trying to pump your post count?

PS 3 Saturdays a month, daddy makes a stack of pancakes for breakfast. The wife and kids love em with butter, blueberry syrup and whipped cream. Mmmm.

After years and years of eating lots of bread I got sick of that and lately I've switched to pancakes. Almost every day, as breakfast, lunch, in-between :) So Ninja, I totally agree with you. Pancakes rule.

I'm from belgium so i'm spoiled with belgian waffles, belgian chocolates, belgian beer, belgian fries...

If you're tired of bread, you could also mix some milk, egg and sugar..... Heat your pan, sink a slice of bread in your mix, and bake it.. Repeat... I like to eat it with some brown sugar... (Hmmz, some people seem to call this french toast)

Tim, excellent tip! Sounds yummy :)

Luckily I'm not too far away from Belgium, so I'll visit once in a while and enjoy all the nice things you mention..

I like mine with 100% pure Maple Syrup. Can't eat that "Mrs. Buttersworth" goo.

Oh man... I hate maple syrup... Mrs. Buttersworth goo is delicious. I can't think of any topping that is better than that stuff on pancakes... wow it's so good.

One time I went to my buddy's house and his mom made waffles, so of course I was stoked, but then she poured this crappy "real" maple syrup all over them and it was all watery and just ended up making the waffles soggy and disgusting.

I LOVE CHEAP CRAPPY SYRUP!

Don't ruin the waffles with syrup :p

Flowering sugar or icecream and fruits or slagroom (i believe in english it's whipping cream)... That's the garnishing you should put on your waffles ;)

All that stuff PLUS syrup... and a whole pile of butter.

I normally do not like real greasy food and I usually don't pile bad things like butter on food, but when it comes to pancakes and waffles... the more butter, syrup, whipped cream, fruit, and powdered sugar, the better!

I LOVE PANCAKES! :P :D

A friend of mine used to work in a Waffle Waggon. They had a stash of belgian chocolate which was approaching it's best before date, so we nicked it and ate as much as we could until feeling sick. There was 9kg's of the stuff. Image

Pancakes do indeed rock, however I refrain from eating them due to the massive amounts of calories and carbs in them, which not only add lb's to my already large gut, but leave me feeling very lethargic and sometimes rather ill the next day.
