Question about YouTube

Post by seodevhead »

I kinda have a wierd question about YouTube. For the past year I have avoided going to that site at all costs because I thought a place like YouTube would be a prime place to pickup viruses/spyware, especially those viruses/spyware that are exploited in videos. Is YouTube a concern for viruses/spyware or is my thinking wrong for this particular site. I never go to places like myspace, because I know for a fact that is a haven for spyware, etc... but didn't know if YouTube was in the same arena. Thanks for any opinions.

i've only had spammers from MySpace and never gotten any viruses/spyware etc from any of those sites.

the only people that i know that get stuff are those that insist on clicking and downloading everything. if you are one of those people then yea, watch out. otherwise i haven't had any issues

YouTube convert all of their videos to flash.

Panic over.
