The two goals in mind

Post by jimthunderbird »

No php programming last night... I sit back and play around on google labs...

I found there's one named page creator which is google's simple version of webpage publishing system.

I have a vague feeling that google is trying to build up a strong web operating system, they are experimenting different technologies that's part of this goal and one day when the connection is 10 times faster than today it will stand out...

The above gave me some thinking juice on the current CMS situation in php.

On one hand, some developers try to use php and mysql to build a mini operating system that can build site upon
On the other, some developers just use php and mysql to build site...

Either one is just the starting point of building content management process.

Two questions in the content management process always keep application programmer's job:

1. What type of content need to be managed?
2. How is that gonna be managed?

If one day the questions above are done by a tool automatically, it's time for me to change from application programmer to system programmer or system developer.
