OKay this topic could create some flames seeing this a php forum. But I see some sites written in ASP and was talking to a more experienced programmer the other day and he prefers ASP. I started learning ASP for a few days and got over it and quickly read the a tutorial on PHP and thought it was much better. So what advantages does ASP actually have PHP? Or vice-versa.
*just wondering why people use ASP as IMO PHP as a whole lot better*

Well as long as you know you're going to get a fairly biased bunch of answers, hopefully there will be no flames as this question has come up before and didn't cause problems then.
You may want to have a look at some of the following:

The only negative part about PHP is that it is so easy to learn and use that there are a lot of people creating dangerously insecure scripts

ask all the programmers in here who felt a sigh of relief to find out this weekends virus attack affected MS SQL which most ASP developers connect to.
I gave a chuckle knowing the company that laid me off a year ago was calling their IT manager to come in and fix the problem
