Plane crash around the corner from my job

Post by RobertGonzalez »

Dude, I have never been this close to such a large calamity. This happened just down the street from where I work...

News story of the plane crash

A link to a map that show where it happened. the little green arrow in the bottom left is where I work. If you go up 680 then make a right on 4, at the point where 4 and Marsh Road are closest is where it happened. Dang...

A similar thing happened to me. I was on the bus to University, and when I arrived, I heard on the news that a plane crashed on a street that I was passing by on the bus not twenty minutes earlier. I was just glad that I caught the early bus ;) Luckily no one was hurt (Suprisingly, as it was in the middle of a busy business district)

I used to think about that happening every day as I drove to work past a small airport. Planes would often be landing as I drove underneath... freaky!

Glad you're alright!

Cheers,
Kieran

From what I've heard about this on the news, there were three people killed and a child seriously hurt in the accident. That is truly a shame. They left San Diego this morning and down there is was bright, sunny and warm. Up here it was cold, overcast and rainy. Poor folks. My heart goes out to them. Right before Christmas nonetheless.

my brother worked for solomon smith and brothers...it was located right next to the twin towers...he was working 9-11 and said that his building actually rocked when both planes hit...after that the building was evacuated he said he saw some pretty horrendous things...lucky for me i was too lazy to get up out of bed and spoiled my plan with my ex to go walkin in the city and to the towers
