I'm hungry...xmas food takes a long time. What did everyone get for xmas?
I got "Wrox Press Professional AJAX" which is actually quite a bit thinner than I imagined. "Sitepoint CSS anthology" and some music.

My Dad failed miserably at buying me stuff yet again. I specifically told him a few weeks ago not to buy me anythin electrionical or wearable. I can't even find clothes that I like myself, so someone else has got no chance. I clearly know better about electronics than anyone else in my family and would prefer money towards buying something myself.

Guess what I got?

A pair of white K-Swiss shoes; even though I dislike K-Swiss and told everyone in my family to definately not buy me shoes because I just bought some.

The worst ever mp3/mp4 player; I can't even find a brand name on it, its massive, has no built in memory, has an enormous Compact Flash card slot at the bottom with no card included. Screen res is awful. It's got a detachable 20gb HDD which plugs in the back which doubles the thickness/overall size of the player (costs extra). He was told it was worth £300, bought it for £120. I've told him I'm selling it, he thinks I'll get £200 for it, I'll be lucky to see £100. I'll post up the eBay link ASAP so you guys can take a look, it's actually humorous.

I was going to buy a Zen Vision: M with my xmas money, and I think I'm still gunna, ^^^ that's off in the bin.

I hate Christmas - now let's get insanely intoxicated and forget about it all.

I bought my friend a present for xmas from amazon and it didn't turn up! I had to apologise to my friend and said I'd get it to him when I could, he said that was fine. Today hoping the presents my Dad gave me my friend's present! He must have opened the delivered parcel with my name on it and wrapped it up as my present!

jay: sounds pretty rough dude. Next time try writing a list for them? or would they just ignore it?

Wow am I glad we don't celebrate christmas with presents and stuff here in the netherlands. It's mostly family getting together and eating a lot while at the same time "thinking about the christmas thought", whatever that may be. But even that is something I try to avoid as much as possible ;)

I recently celebrated my birthday and just asked everybody to donate 10 euro's to a charity instead of buying me anything. Feels a lot better then me getting stuff I don't really need. I think this is a concept I'll do from now on for every "present" occasion.

I got everything I wanted.
  • Some 'alone' time with the wife
  • A Wenger watch
  • A Montblanc Meisterstuck Classique stainless steel fountain pen
  • Pavlo's 'Fantasia' CD
  • A singing stuffed penguin
  • A penguin coffee mug
Of course I am now in debt up to my shoulders because of the stuff we bought the kids (I will post some photos on my blog when I can), but overall it was a great Christmas. And there is still my wife's family to go yet, so it might get even better.

Ooo, I forgot to mention that I got some Mont Blanc Cologne and Aftershave as well.

It sounds like almost all of us had a decent Christmas so far, huh?

Yes indeed :)

No "material" presents, but some "immaterial" presents are more then I could ever wish for :D

Nice, my dad has a thing for pens. He bought a Solitaire a few years ago, though he doesn't use it

He also has a few Caran d'Ache.. he says the name is fitting because they give terrible writers cramp
