Those darn pesky balloon tips

Post by seodevhead »

Hey guys... Does anyone know how to turn off those stupid pesky "balloon tooltips" in Windows down at the system tray that always pop up for the stupidest things, like to tell me "You are now connected to Wireless Network" or "You have unused icons on your desktop", etc. The main problem is the balloon tip for everytime my wireless connection goes in and out (happens a lot - but doesn't affect my surfing cause it happens really quick). It is annoying me to the nth degree but I can't figure out if there is a way to turn them off. I have googled to death with no luck.

Tweak UI can be found at the Microsoft PowerToys web site. Download the tweakui.exe file, not the one for Itanium systems.

This information came from this article, in case anyone else as looking for this link.
