Well thats interesting to know feyd. :)

There is also Berklee School of Music in Boston but that is a really expensive school from what I understand.
do you know anything about fullsail? really? or are you trying to flame bait?

with other schools you learn theory and practice. not as much or as indepth as FS but enough. why enough? because practice comes easy. theory is SO much more important.

you wonder why people that learn teory can go from one language to another, in terms of coding, so easilly? because in practice languages aren't so wildly different that you'll crap yourself going from Java to PHP. i'm different because i've gone to school already for some computer science so i learned what i did in FS and can apply it with theory easier than most other folks there.

also, fullsail is not cheap by any means. per semester it is much more expensive than many other schools and you get not nearly the same as they do. i know people that came out of Berklee and (obviously) many more that came out of FS. if you DARE try to tell me that these idiots can possibly comprehend more than someone out of Berklee then you are insanly diluted.

someone coming out of fullsail will have a glass ceiling. unless they take in more to study they are limited in what they can do. they might be able to hit the ground running and hit those boards, computers or what-have-you with more ease but being able to do better than someone that has that theory and learned thought process is a small chance.

look at it this way. would you hire someone tha only has thier A+ cert or would you hire a full on IT guy? or would you hire a monkey that can get the blocks or would you hire the monkey that can actually put a house together with those blocks?

I think your misunderstanding me MrPotatoes,

I know that Berkelee is one of the best schools for music in the country or maybe even the world. I'm not sure what flame bait is but I don't have any.

Honestly folks, I value your opinions and especially your experiences. This is why and what I am here for, your input. The fact that I have or may have a difference of opinion, I only wish to convey in a responsible way. I'm sorry I any of my comments came across as offensive, that is not what I intended.

As to your question about my familiarity with the mentioned school, I only know what I have been told. I think it is great that I have found people here that have gone to this school or another competing school. I will consider your input because I had toyed with the idea of taking class at a school like this. It probably won't happen but I still toy with the idea.

Peace and well being all! :D

I need some really good Soundfonts with lot's of voices if anyone has any. I noticed that many Soundfonts can only make a couple of sounds at once before sounding like total crap-garbage. I've been able to find a really good Piano and a good Flute plus some decent Drum Kits but nothing else, really.
have you tried reason?

Better?! :D
I think I get the mood you are trying to create with this, but, it's not working for me. It seems more morbid than mellow (assumes mellow is what you were aiming for?), possibly because the strings are too prominent for my personal liking. Personally, I'd try starting the track with the piano and then bringing the strings in at a lower level. And also bring the running water effect in at a lower level too.

Still, what do I know. I had my first foray into computer based recording studios last week, I must admit, it was a bit of a culture shock coming from an analogue world.
